With the development of microelectronics technology, broadband amplifier has an important role in scientific research. So for broadband amplifiers, it not only requires the stable output, wide bandwidth and voltage value, but also has continuously adjustable gain control. In addition, using the software to achieve gain control can improve system's flexibility, and get easy modification.
This article describes the design of a program controlled broadband amplifier based on AT89C51. The amplifier is made of AT89C51 as the core device of the control module and AD603 as the core component of the voltage amplifier module. Through the key pads settings, it can achieve the control voltage output of the gain control module, and the voltage is used to adjust the voltage amplification of the voltage amplifier module. Keil and Proteus are used for gain control module programming and circuit simulation. Multisim is used to complete the module voltage amplification circuit simulation. Finally, making an actual hardware circuit to debug the entire system and data measurement, which also verifies the feasibility of the design .
