WCDMA network planning and design
Abstract:
Being one of 3G standard, WCDMA has great different technical specialty from GSM., so principle and method of WCDMA radio network planning have changed. The self-interferenc, soft coverage, soft capacity of WCDMA system are deeply define the Complexity and synthetecallity of WCDMA network planning. This demand that the network planning engineers has to all-around analyse the technical details of planning by usage of network planner. Hence, success of network planning can be attached.
This thesis which shows the example for a city,discussesthe methods of network planning for the speech and data services in WCDMA networks .It plans the capability, covering and quality and sets the radio resource parameters according to the planning. It makes the network cost the least based on fulfilling the requirements of certain signal covering, system capability and service quality.
The radio network planning includes the pre-planning and particular planning. The pre-planning includes capability planning and station number estimation etc. The particular planning includes software simulation etc.
