This study is about how to make use of 2D and 3D’s elements in promoting Chinese folk culture. The necessity, methods of Qingming Festival’s propaganda have been analyzed. At the same time, advantages, styles of combination of 2D and 3D’s elements have been elaborated. On this basis, the study major in making this folk animation named “Adventure in Qingming Festival”, including script, art design, modeling, rendering, light, animation and post-processing.
Through combination of 2D and 3D’s element, the video can show Qingming Festival in humorous and lively way. It can imperceptibly take effect in the Qingming Festival’s promotion. Furthermore, the study of good results of the combination of 2D and 3D’s elements would be more meaningful.
The combining of 2D and 3D animation attracts viewers in visual and makes audiences understand the Chinese folk culture in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and thus unconsciously promotes Chinese folk culture.
