Beiliu’s Confucian Academies in Ming and Qing Dynasty
Abstract
Confucian Academies existed from the Tang dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty, which had extended more than one thousand years. The building of Guangxi Confucian Academies dated from the Southern Song dynasty. Beiliu located in southeastern of Guangxi, it also builded the Confucian Academies in the Ming dynasty. The ancient Confucian Academies in Beiliu, from the beginning of Ming dynasty to the prophase of Qing dynasty, its System improved gradually, the teaching function was enhanced , and its relationship with the place where carried on Keju examination developped increasingly. Such as the historical process of this Official school in local ancient Confucian Academies , which brought up many talents for Beiliu, and chained further its free development . Up to the end of Qing dynasty. With the decline of Keju System and the stimulation of western learning after invaded by Britain, college declined gradually, Beiliu acient Confucian Academies was also abolished by degrees, Bin Xing Organization replaced it and promoted the development of Beiliu modern education.
