Abstract: Ionic liquids have advantages of large liquid temperature range, wide solution, no significant vapor pressure, good stability, Polar strong acidic and adjustable, electrochemical window big. They have broad application prospects in the fields of electrochemical, catalytic organic synthesis biochemistry.
In this paper, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromides were synthesized with raw materials of 1-methylimidazole and ethyl bromide. Establish the technology of synthetic l - ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromides by choosing a series of reaction times, temperatures, feed ratios, namely: the reaction temperature of 50℃ and the reaction time of 6 h, 1-methylimidazole and ethyl bromide ratio of 1 : 1.2. Under these conditions, l - ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide salt yield of 92.73%. purity of the product was determined by analysis of 97.85%, and characterize the products by using infrared spectroscopy.
It also prepares and characterize l-propyl- 3-methylimidazolium bromide salt, and 1-butyl - 3-methylimidazolium bromide salt as a preliminary study.
