《红楼梦》中双关语的翻译解读

摘    要
 归化与异化是翻译双关语的两种主要的翻译策略.同时，不同的翻译方法又将呈现出译本不同的还原性和可接受性。本论文将通过对古典小说《红楼梦》两个英译本的比较研究，从文化和译者角度来具体分析对双关语归化或异化翻译的原因和效果。并结合翻译理论，探讨这两中方法的可行性，以寻找适合双关语的翻译方法。

ABSTRACT
 Domesticating translation and foreignizing translation are two main translation strategies. And different methods of translating puns will represent different degrees of adequacy and acceptability. This thesis concentrates the subjective and cultural factors that determine the translators' choice of domestication or foreignization by comparing the two translation versions of Hong Lou Meng. Meanwhile, it intends to analyze the applicability of these methods on the guide of translation theory, and find the commonly used methods that are supposed to be adopted in the translation of puns.
