Abstract: The ethanol extraction of flavonoid from Taraxacum mongolicum were carried out. The effects of concentration of ethanol, ratio of solvent to raw material, temperature and extracting time on extraction effect of flavonoid from Taraxacum mongolicum were discussed. With the aim of optimization of the ethanol process for extracting flavonoid from Taraxacum mongolicum, a central composite design(CCD) experiment was conducted and the response surface methodology(RSM) based on single factor was employed to investigate the influence of four main factors on the yield of flavonoid, and to establish a regression model. Regression coefficient and variance analysis show the regression model fits the actual process well. The obtained optimum extraction parameters are extracting time 52min, temperature 65℃, concentration of ethanol 58%, and ratio of solvent to raw material 1:20. The flavonoid yield with the optimized procedure is 8.16%(as rutin). The experimental values agree with those predicted from the regression model within a relative error of 1.3%, Applying this extracting technology, the flavonoid content is increased, the results showed that this process is reasonable and practicable.
