Abstract
The function of oil pump is to make sure that lubricating oil keeps circulating in the lubrication system without discontinue and to have a pressure high enough to provide sufficient lubricating oil under any rotation rate of the engine. The former of the two purposes indicates that the oil pump can absorb the lubricating oil all the time and the latter indicates that the oil pump has a pressure regulation device.
With regard to the gear type oil pump that used by traditional automobile engine, there are some disadvantages such as needing an intermediate driving gear, huge volume, high producing cost, and inhomogeneity of oil supply, etc. What’s more, the quality of the oil pump, which is the heart of the lubrication system of the internal combustion engine, as a result, directly affects the reliability and durability of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, it is of great importance to have a study on the rotor oil pump.
This paper introduces the development and design of the rotor oil pump of 6105 engine. When this kind of rotor oil pump is used, many advantages of the rotor oil pump can be exhibited in the whole lubricating system, such as the compact structure, high vacuum degree of oil absorption, large amount of oil pumping, high efficiency, homogeneity of oil supply, low cost, no particular requirement for assembly position, acceptability of being assembled outside the crankcase or relatively high places of the oil absorption position, etc. The author of this paper has consulted a lot of relevant literature and made an analysis as well as a comparison of the Pros and Cons of the oil pump technology at home and abroad, basing on which the design scheme is established and the corresponding structure design is conducted.
This paper expounds the innovation of this new type of oil pump through the analysis of the current situation at home and abroad, the design scheme, the structure design of the work device, and the designs and calculates of the components and parts.
